VIP Exclusive: All Eyes on Big Tech — 5 Stocks with Big Catalysts Ahead
Welcome to Everyday Alpha’s Catalyst Watch, featuring exclusive content for our most active readers. Today, we’re tracking five names on the move with potential to turn headlines into opportunities by tomorrow’s open.

Markets are rebounding after a rough week, helped by news that President Trump’s 50% tariff on EU goods—originally set to take effect on June 1—has been delayed until July as negotiations continue. This postponement offers some short-term relief for global equities, but volatility is likely to return if no agreement is reached.
For now, investor sentiment has turned slightly more optimistic. Still, with Nvidia’s earnings report due tomorrow and fresh inflation data expected Friday, market swings are likely to persist.
From AI juggernauts to EV giants and government tech contractors, here are the stocks we’re watching closely going into Wednesday:

Nvidia Corporation | NVDA

Price: $135.50
It’s finally here, Nvidia week. The chip titan reports Q1 earnings after Wednesday’s closing bell, and markets are holding their breath. Nvidia’s results are viewed as a litmus test for AI demand and broader tech momentum, especially after last quarter’s blowout.
Analysts expect revenue to spike 66% YoY to $43.2 billion, with earnings up 20%. But investors are also eyeing any color on China headwinds from export controls, which could be a potential speed bump for growth. With shares up significantly since April’s lows but still down YTD, expectations are sky-high to say the least. Miss, and the whole market could wobble. Beat, and we may see a new leg up in AI stocks.

BYD Company Limited | BYDDF

Price: $53.70
The Chinese EV company BYD took a hit Monday, plunging more than 8% after slashing prices on 22 EV and hybrid models. From hatchbacks to sedans, some sticker prices were chopped by over 30%. Are we about to see an EV price war in China?
But there’s more to this story. Citi analysts noted a 30–40% jump in dealership traffic after the price cuts, which means we might see a sales boost hiding under the surface. With Chinese EV stocks broadly under pressure and BYD coming off record highs, traders will be watching this stock closely to see if this move is short-term pain for long-term gain.

Salesforce Inc. | CRM

Price: $277.19
As if this week wasn’t full of big reports already, Salesforce is also in the earnings spotlight on Wednesday. Its Q1 results will drop right around the same time as Nvidia's. While top-line growth is expected to be modest (6.6% YoY), the real focus is on CRM’s push into enterprise AI.
Its “Agentforce” platform lets businesses deploy custom AI agents for customer service, and early momentum has been promising. However, with 150,000 customers and only 3,000 paid AI deals to date, investors are seeking proof that AI adoption is scaling. A miss on revenue or weak guidance could hit shares hard, even after last week’s pullback.

Workday Inc. | WDAY

Price: $239.30
Workday shares experienced a significant loss, dropping 12.5% last week after the company issued soft Q2 guidance. However, for those seeking AI-focused investments, this could be a valuable opportunity. Workday reaffirmed its 2025 targets and reported strong Q1 results, including a 13.4% increase in subscription revenue and 44% growth in free cash flow. The punishment of the stock may have been premature and overdone.
In examining its earnings, the company has also beaten estimates nearly every quarter since 2020, and Q1 showed strength from long-term contracts with major companies such as Chipotle, United Airlines, and Dover Corporation. Even the subscription backlog is growing, up 19%, which could set up a strong Q2 upside surprise.
Analysts are moderately bullish, with an average price target of $293.54. But with margin expansion, free cash flow acceleration, and the Agentic AI tools gaining traction, WDAY could become a stealthy rebound play in the back half of 2025.

Palantir Technologies Inc. | PLTR

Price: $123.39
There hasn’t been a stock more enticing in the last year than Palantir. To top it all off, they just received a string of bullish analyst calls, including a Wedbush reiteration of its $140 price target and an “Outperform” rating. The firm is gaining traction across federal contracts, especially with the Department of Defense, which analysts expect to remain at least somewhat immune to budget cuts.
Add in a 39% YoY revenue jump and a fresh partnership with Divergent Technologies to address manufacturing bottlenecks, and you’ve got a company with both growth and a compelling story. While some firms are cautious on valuation, momentum remains firmly on Palantir’s side heading into Q2.

The table is set for a volatile Wednesday, one way or another. Nvidia and Salesforce will dominate after-hours headlines, so keep an eye on how things pan out.
Keep your eyes on these names as we head into the final trading hour. Tomorrow’s leaders might already be moving — and you’ve now got the early read.
Best Regards,
